DisclaimersFDIC Transaction Account Guarantee Program BankTrust is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance coverage which is currently $250,000.00. This coverage of $250,000.00 has been extended until December 31, 2013. Furthermore, during this time period, ending on December 31, 2010 any and all monies transferred from a noninterest-bearing account (which has unlimited FDIC coverage) to an interest-bearing account, the FDIC coverage of the interest-bearing account will be limited to $250,000.00. Furthermore, any Official Check issued by BankTrust in excess of $250,000.00 is not covered under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program and is limited to the FDIC’s general deposit insurance coverage of $250,000.00 which has been extended to December 31, 2013.  |
